Have you ever noticed how much better you sleep after a long day at the beach or an afternoon at the park? Any time spent outdoors will bring you the same results. It’s that exhilarating feeling you get, breathing in fresh air, feeling a breeze brush your skin, and the warmth of the sun. Do you remember what it feels like to walk or run barefoot with the sand or dirt squishing between your toes? I remember that ~ as a child. And with today’s schedules and routines, most of us may not get the opportunity to spend that much time outdoors, intentionally. Meaning it’s just you and your bare skin against the earth.
This word “intentionally”, refers to you making time to spend outdoors with nature. Taking off your shoes, and walking barefoot or sitting where there is direct contact with rock, dirt, sand or water. With this direct contact of earth, you can feel earth’s subtle energy. It’s almost like an electric charge that balances and harmonizes your biological rhythm. Sounds kind of silly ~ right? The earth has a natural source of electrons and subtle electrical fields, which we absorb as an antioxidant. The studies involved indoor-testing methods under controlled conditions that simulate being barefoot outdoors. You may find it quite interesting.
Studies have also found that connecting with the electron-enriched earth, not only relieves many types of stress, but has other mental and physical benefits, such as:
• Helps with muscle pain while reducing inflammation
• Improves sleep
• Reduces stress, while promoting calm
• Helps with circulation
• Improves mental clarity
• Quicker healing from muscle injuries
Who would ever think that walking barefoot in the park would have such an affect on our well-being? So many benefits from grounding, which brings the earth energy directly to all parts of your body; the brain, your muscles, your immune and nervous system. Remember with every breath you take, you are connecting with the earth’s energy. Grounding is just an extension of this connection.
“When you need “calm” find the time to walk barefoot on the earth ~
Find this place ~ have this time ~ allow your consciousness to flow with ease ~ bringing you inner peace ~
You consume energy ~ from your environment.”
